Solution Architect

The position

As Solution Architect your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Overseeing the Architectural aspects of the development of the design, production of the construction documents ("plans") and specifications of proposed IT Solutions

• Providing the project with a tailored subset of the enterprise architectural policies, guidelines and principles

• Providing information on the consequences of requirements (esp. non-functional)

• Promoting and embedding architectural thinking within IT Projects

• Guaranteeing proposed IT Solutions are delivered within the boundaries of the business, information and technology architecture of Econcern

• Contributing to the development of the overall enterprise architecture

• Ensuring all architectural components are properly integrated and implemented

• Keeping the knowledge on architectural artifacts up to date in order to anticipate future changes

• Coaching the project members on the value and implications of architecture in aligning IT with the Business

• Providing support and verify quality through all stages of implementation

The roles

• Acting as a project architect to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and standards (architectural governance)

• Acting as a solution architect for different components of the business, information and technology architecture (subject matter expert)

• Acting as a team-member in building and embedding the architectural practice within Econcern (practice building)

Education/experience

• Academic level or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Demonstrable experience between 3 to 5 year as a solution architect/project architect.

• Thorough knowledge of on a select set of IT architecture domains, such as platforms, operating systems, integration, networks, security etc.

• Applied knowledge of Architectural Frameworks, such as the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or the Archimate Framework

• Experience with ERP implementations

• Experience in software selections processes
