Company profile: International company from Dutch origin. Produces, markets, and trades a specific group of exclusive consumers goods, that enjoy a world famous reputation of high quality and design. The company (now 800 fte’s) grows explosively during the last years now. In the Netherlands, but also worldwide. The ICT department (ca. 28 fte’s) is located in Amsterdam for 50%: Infra, Information management and Projects. The other teams are located outside The Netherlands: Development and 2 regional departments. To support the ongoing growth for this employer, we have a vacancy for Systems Specialist Middleware / ETL TALEND, EDI, SQL, XML
Job description The Middleware Specialist will be focused on defining innovative and highly effective strategy for the EDI platform. This position manages the TALEND middleware platform, oversees the planning and usability of all system messages and interfaces with 3rd parties, provide oversight from an information management perspective in order to maintain the company's electronic data exchange with customers, suppliers and warehouses and owns an up to date documentation of the environment
Full areas of responsibility • Performs detailed evaluation of the Middleware environment, capabilities/assets, execute the development of information exchange strategies to improve process and collaboration opportunities and deliver measurable value back to the business • Manage all global EDI strategy • Support internal advertising, departmental marketing support, publish communications, and knowledge sharing • Establish system metrics to ensure best practices and measurability of our data exchange, design reporting processes, and drive aggressive performance improvements through testing, tracking and analysis data
Partial areas of responsibility • Collaborates closely and partners with other disciplines/capabilities including Sales, Project Management and Developers to define differentiating yet actionable strategies and assure that knowledge sharing is growing. • Ensure the integrity of the middleware and information through implementation and maintenance of established system management practices, processes and controls • Keep current with the latest data exchange trends and technology to keep technology competitive in the online world.
Supporting areas of responsibility • Assist to develop global strategy and online experiences that meet and exceed business objectives
Salaris: 3.800 p.m.
Minimum job requirements • IT professional with a bachelor's degree and a minimum 5 years EDI / SQL / XML experience • Experience with ETL tools is required • Experience with web services and database interfaces • Excellent analytic skills, strategic thinking and management communication skills • A passion for digital strategy and business processes, techniques, and tools • Solid understanding of database metrics and how data is used to drive optimization • Strong problem solving, creative thinking, and analytical abilities • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to earn client and internal team confidence quickly • Able to thrive in a fluid, non-traditional, entrepreneurial environment • Ability to work from the high-level conceptual stage through tactical execution
